Summer 25 Salt & Sand

To mark this 10 Year milestone, our new summer campaign — SALT & SAND – SS25 — is more than a collection: it’s an emotional return to the essence of the brand and a tribute to our origins.

“SALT & SAND” is a vibrant recap that embraces Kozii’s core: intense colors, natural fabrics, and the lightness of summer — felt on the skin and in the soul. A collection that distills 10 years of aesthetic and ethical exploration, respect for process and for the hands that create, and a deep love for the world’s textile traditions.

TAVIRA, WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

Returning to Tavira to photograph the new campaign was a gesture filled with symbolism. It was in this luminous town — steeped in history, with the sea in the background — that Kozii was born, grew, and opened its very first doors. Now, ten years later, we return to the surreal salt flats that surround Tavira — where earth meets sky in a mirror of light and stillness.

We also reunited with the original creative team who helped shape our first campaign — a reunion filled with emotion and complicity.

A HAND BLOCK PRINTED COLLECTION

SALT & SAND is an ode to color and lightness, created entirely with the ancestral technique of block printing — an art that demands time, precision, and the hands of skilled artisans. The vibrant patterns and natural fabrics reflect the warmth of summer and the soul of the brand, with a luminous palette that invites movement, self-expression, and celebration of the now.

Over the past ten years, we have embraced several different traditional textile techniques from across the globe — from batik to ikat, clamp dye, indigo and khadi mud resist dyes.

Although these practices remain essential to our visual and artisanal language and continue to be present in other collections, with our new SS25 Salt & Sand, we return to our dearest and very first essential block printing, – the technique that pronounced the very beginning of our journey.

Hand Block Printing

Woodblock printing on textiles is the process of printing patterns onto fabrics, usually of linen, cotton or silk, by means of incised wooden blocks. The drawings are hand carved into rosewood blocks which are then used as stamps to transfer the prints onto the fabrics.

It is necessary only to ink the block and bring it into firm and even contact with the cloth to achieve the desired print.

It is the earliest, simplest and slowest of all methods of textile printing. There is evidence it was practiced as early as the fifth century BC, with actual fragments found from as early as the fifteenth century in India, China and Japan.

LENZING™ ECOVERO™ is a sustainable viscose fiber developed by the Lenzing Group, an Austrian company with a long-standing history in sustainable fiber innovation. Introduced in 2017, ECOVERO™ fibers are derived from certified renewable wood sources, ensuring a responsible and eco-friendly production process.
