Winter 25 Kullu

Weaving Art and Culture

Since its founding in 1944 by twelve visionary master artisans, Bhuttico has grown into much more than a cooperative. It is a living social movement that has, for over seven decades, celebrated craftsmanship, preserved ancestral weaving techniques, and sustained families and communities with dignity. Each piece they create is part of this heritage: a story woven in time, culture, and care.

Our relationship with Bhuttico is one of deep respect and long-standing collaboration. For more than a decade, we have worked side by side with their artisans, honoring their mastery and the impact of their work on local communities. This season, our capsule collection is crafted from the region’s finest wools — from merino to the exquisite pashmina — which we reinterpret into pieces that combine comfort, softness, and timeless elegance.

These creations are more than fashion. They are symbols of cultural identity, testaments to the value of artisanal work, and bridges between the valleys of the Himalayas and our contemporary vision here at Kozii. Each shawl, each garment, carries the savoir-faire of generations into the present.

This Capsule collection is available in limited edition and can be discovered in our five Boutiques in the Algarve: Tavira, Olhão, Loulé, and Lagos.

While we do not have an official online store, we offer personalized service and worldwide shipping, ensuring that this artisanal legacy can reach you, wherever you are.

With this collection, we reaffirm our essence: contemporary design interwoven with tradition, uncompromising quality, comfort, and timeless elegance — always with a positive social impact

Weaving arts in the Himalaya

The Himalayan loom tradition’s history includes origins linked to the Silk Route and cultural exchange in the Kinnaur region, with evidence of weaving in Ladakh by the 12th century.

Over centuries, weaving evolved from a practical skill to an art form, adapting to local materials like nettle and wool, and developing distinct styles such as Kullu patterns. This enduring craft continues to be a vital part of Himalayan identity, connecting communities through intricate designs and shared heritage

Wool, one of humanity’s oldest textiles, traces its origins to the pastoral traditions of ancient Mesopotamia, where sheep were first domesticated over 10,000 years ago. This versatile natural fiber, celebrated for its warmth and durability, has since become synonymous with quality and comfort.

Kozii takes pride in using pure wool to create ethically produced cashmere scarves and blankets, crafted with care to honor both artisans and the environment. These pieces are more than just accessories—they’re a testament to slow fashion, offering unparalleled softness and timeless beauty while ensuring respect for traditional craftsmanship and sustainable practices.

Kullu Soundscape

For SS25 Salt & Sand soundspace, Kozii collabs with Márcio Pinto, aka Magupi. Márcio is a gifted multi-instrumentalist and composer with a background in Classical Studies, specializing in marimba, balafon, and African percussion.

He seamlessly blends his expertise in classical, Afro, and electronic music into his live sets, using the electro-acoustic marimba to craft a unique sound shaped by global influences, with organic, deep, and distinctive elements.
